a blog post in 4 sections

4 small thoughts:

dear everything i own,

please stop disappearing. i want you.

my last few books have all inadvertently focused on southern black girls who experience all sorts of horrible things.  consequently, my dreams have been not so happy.  i would greatly appreciate suggestions of uplifting alternatives to read next.

i had a cambridge moment today.  as i was walking up to campus, my attention was grabbed by a male student.  not because he was especially handsome, but because he was crossing the lawn.  i had to squander my instinct to shout out in warning, "stop! the porters! they'll chase you!"

and of course,
some pretty photos
{or "fotos" if we are being parker circa 2004-2006}

#3: I totally saw someone do that today, too! I was wondering why I was worried for him . . . thanks for helping me realize why.

#2: Some good books I've read recently:

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows

The Scarlet Pimpernel by Baroness Orczy

Either one of those are very uplifting books and should help with having better dreams. :)
